It's all about making Real Wines. 

 

So, what are Real Wines? 
 

They are Terroir wines. 

 

So, what are Terroir wines? 
 

Wines achieved by growing vines of a specific variety; in a specific region, in a specific soil, in a specific climate. 
 

The role of the Winemaker is to express these terroir components by minimal invention through a combination of 'old world' traditions (experience) and 'new world' technology (practicality).

Like grape growing, wine making is a natural process too and will express terroir if left to its own elements.

Environmentally responsible viticulture is the best course for wine making. Carlei Wines is committed to sustainable agricultural practices and natural wine making practices. Our vineyard in Upper Beaconsfield is certified Organic, and our aim is to have all our vineyards certified organic, or using organic farming methods. 

Carlei Wines does not use herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilizers on its vineyards. This is not only a good thing for our health, but also the environment.  
 

Biodynamics steps beyond the world of organics, it incorporates the natural cyclical rhythms of the world, and explores how this affects plant growth, in return, to optimize natural flavors potentials. 

Sergio's mission is to improve wine quality and optimize flavors, the natural way. these wines are made with little interference, employing traditional wine making practices. This starts in the vineyards, and continues to the final bottle product.
